Program Overview

In this program, students have the opportunity to take several courses from the fields including Pre-Islam Turkish literature, classical Turkish literature, modern Turkish literature, contemporary Turkish literature, folk literature, contemporary Turkic literatures, Western literatures, comparative literature, historical Turkic languages, contemporary Turkic languages, modern Turkish grammar, literary theories and linguistics.

Thirty per-cent of the courses in our program are designed for free electives which should be lectured in English. Thus students have the chance to study comparatively and in a multi-disciplinary way, taking English courses from other departments which are History, Philosophy, Translation and Interpreting Studies, Psychology, Politics and International Relations and Economics, which also improves their English language skills.
